Finding success in dental school is no easy feat. We each dedicate an incredible amount of time toward creating flashcards and notes—sometimes, only to barely scrape by. This often discourages us from sharing with others. After all, why would we freely give away something that we have poured so much time and effort into, just for others to benefit without contributing? But we can do better than this.

Through Dental Student Lifeline, we challenge our innate tendencies to keep our work private and, instead, choose to do the exact opposite. We give up our sense of competition in favor of supporting a medium through which we all, as colleagues, can help each other succeed. However, this project is entirely dependent on the selfless contributions of people no different than you. Thus, if you believe in our mission, we urge you to contribute what you can and to encourage your fellow students to do the same.

Together, we can promote a college-wide culture that empowers every dental student to succeed—not alone, but as a part of a united community.
